To Whom It May Concern,
Dear houseofmirth[in],
Thank you for signing in with me. May your day be filled with joyous laughter!
To the Blog Squad,
Thank you so much, your comments did the trick, I feel a gazillion times better! You guys are the BEST!
So, this morning, I woke up with an insane craving for scrambled eggs and salad! Weird much?! I've named this new dish the 'Frasier Special', because of the shows theme song! "Hey baby, I hear the blues a-callin' tossed salad and scrambled egg. Mercy!" Turns out there's more to this song than just funny lyrics. For an analytical look at this song, click here. Clever! This is also one of my all-time-favourite shows! One guess why!
This morning's fare stood at somewhere around the 200 calorie mark, so I'm gonna give lunch the old skip-a-roo! I figure if I do big breakfasts, I can just not bother with lunch and keep dinner pretty light. I did take a photo of my breakfast for this post, but it looks more like the dog's breakfast! Some things just don't photograph well and scrambled eggs is one of them! Blegh!
Also, I'm cutting back on coffee, as my favourite beverage seems to be raising my cortisol levels through the roof, causing my poor tumkin to bloat like a beach ball! Not pretty! So it's water and green tea aplenty for me.
And in weather news, we seem to be experiencing typical Christmas weather in P.E. this year. The temperature is balmy and well moderated thanks to the city being snugly tucked in under a cool, fluffy, cotton- white cloud-blanket. It's kinda like our version of a white Christmas! I think the constant cloud cover is caused by the collective unconscious of all the little boys and girls praying for snow... in the heat of Summer... in the Southern Hemisphere...IDIOTS!!!
I worked my last shift at the gift shop yesterday. The boss brought in the new stock and we then spent the better part of 5 and a half hours unpacking, pricing, counting and putting it onto the shelves. I don't get paid enough for this! From tomorrow until the 24th of December, I'll be helping out every day at the other branch of the boutique and then I'm officially unemployed! I'm gonna wait until after Christmas to see what's going down at the coffee shop. For now, I'm powering up for a busy time at work. Rich ladies and their trusty credit cards, looking for the perfect holiday wardrobe means the whole day on my feet with no chance of a lunch break! Well well, an upside, after all! Bring it on!!
Sincerely,
Cinnamon Brown.
