The winter season has two opposite faces.
For some, the sight of snow and the winter chills is a start of good holiday cheers. But for others, it's another fight against Mother Nature's frozen and drastic,uhm, nature. As promised, here's the 1st of 4 parts for my Winter special called "Frozen Delights series." It was indeed a challenge for me to create a weird Winterland and I'm hoping the idea would please my blog followers' and visitors' expectations. To realize my extreme photomanip, I opted for a surreal dwarf village where in houses are made of frozen fish. To feed your fancy thoughts more, I created a hot spring spa on a salmon. Oh, that's indeed mouth-watering, right eh? Hehe. Now, it's time to create parts 2, 3 and 4 within this chilling season for you to enjoy. Winter Cheers!

Welcome to Pixelrocket RECHARGED!!
It's a return with more powerful images and more series to boot. And to bring you a fresh visual feast is "My Parasite", first from the series called 'Fallopian Dreams' wherein in growth/life and dreams/nightmares are my main recipes. This image is inspired, in one way or another, by OK GO's "This Too Shall Pass (Rube Goldberg Machine version)" music video which is a viral hit in YouTube. "My Parasite" took me some time to finish (maybe around 5 hours) coz of my laptop space problem and of course the intricate DIY machine that I just can't get enough to "perfect"...I'm kind of fickle minded esp it's my first image for the new series. But time doesn't matter coz it's good thing that you tend to make things superb as possible. :) So soon, watch out more series called Brainwashed Nightmares, The Living Anime and of course my old-timer series called Macro World, Photographers in Peril, Can I take Pictures of Your Dreams and more. Check my images from to time to time via this blog or my Facebook and I hope time is on my side to make and upload at least once or twice a week. :) Have a blast of Pixel Rocket... :)

Welcome to my new Series called "Can I Take Pictures of Your Dreams?"
Pixelrocket has evolved into something dreamy, if I can put it in an artist's sense, it is more surreal than fun. My previous series involved fun and humor but this time, everything flipped into utter seriousness. Dreams are our escape from reality when we sleep and they are so mysterious that they are often interpreted as signs of upcoming events or even hints of past memories.
Taking part in my series is a fictional camera I created called Crystal Eye Dream 90. Also, I'm so thankful for my dream model for making this "dream project' a reality and taking pride to achieve that dream without nightmares and bad memories. =) Now, this series is indeed so clear to me.

The Making of the Original Image


Pre-World Cup Championship Tribute

The World Cup fever has come to absolute heights.
The best way to end it is to give tribute to it by a memorable photomanipulation. Using some photos I took of my fellow photographers, some personal photos of photography hobbyists taken from Facebook and stock images, for 3 hours I created this image with such glee and enthusiasm.
I made also a soccer goal in the image of Paul the Psychic Octopus, the oracle animal that has been used to predict World Cup game wins. Words can't describe my feeling on how I came up with the idea. Honestly, I had a hard time thinking on this for days but a last moment flicker of an idea bulb led me to create satisfying output. Hope all of you World Cup fans out there will like this one and share this to friends. Viva! =) Lead stars are Mike Mendoza (Kubo Photography Group member) as the Spanish footballer Andrés Iniesta and Raffy De la Cruz as the goalie. Crouching Laundry and the Hidden Panty (The Making)

Now, it's time for some humor with a martial art twist.
I had so much fun doing Crouching Laundry and the Hidden Panty (sorry if the title offends you). For one, it tested my creativity to the hilt especially in creating a fun yet photo-realistic image. It's hard to achieve a breezy feel to it especially photos aren't moving so it's really a challenge for me to create something windy.
The models are great too since they really put some good acting. Kudos my brothers.
Adding some elements also gave me some pointblank decisions. So as not to clutter the whole photo, I deleted some minor stuff like the birds, for example, which take some attention from the three subjects. The clouds are enough to give some free spirited touch to the windstruck photo manipulation. :) Hope you like this one. :) (click the images to enlarge)
