Icy Distortion

The texture of these ice formations is really amazing. They are the result of constant melting and deep freezes for about 2 weeks. The final product are the jagged and pointy ice pinnacles that jut out of the side of a snow embankment. I'm not sure how exactly the dirt and mud got onto them, but the contrast it creates is beautiful and reaffirms the traditional idea of finding beauty in the muck. The ice forms also pick up the colors and texture of the blurred background in an abstract manner I find very pleasing.
