Dear Peanut,
Welcome and thank you for your sign in. Happy, smiley monkey, me!
Today has been a truly gorgeous spring day and the world around me has exploded into orbit with an hypnotic and magical green! The wind is warm, the lavender bush is buzzing and the fields nearby are covered in a sunny dandelion carpet. The birds are singing a pretty song, the wattles and jasmine are heavy with blossoms and my poor housemates are drowning in snot! Oh yeah, spring is here all right!
Friday's weigh-in showed no change. Still 59kg, but I'm not complaining. If I'm not putting on weight, it's all good! I spent the day on my feet yesterday, I worked until 5 and passed out in a disgusting position on the bean bag! Not very pretty! God, I hate it when that happens, dragging my sorry arse off to bed in the middle of the night is so disruptive! Sleeping in a bit this morning made it all OK, though. Ah, the simple pleasures!
This coming week, I want to be super good and use my time as productively as possible. Plus being busy is a good distraction from the fridge! Every change of season I experience a massive creative burst and throw myself into something artistic, usually something along the lines of handwork or craft. I figured that towards the end of this month, the shops will all start to haul out their Christmas paraphernalia, (it happens earlier every bloody year!) so why not make a few things for the Christmas craft fair? Nothing major, just a few knitted and crocheted accessories in gaudy colours, or a few, three legged, googly-eyed stuffed toys! You know, something cute, yet mildly hideous and terrifying at the same time! To be very honest, I abhor Christmas, but I'll save that little rant for another time!
For now, I'm going to enjoy the rest of this glorious Sunday with a nice cup of cinnamon coffee and an old copy of Frankie. (So pissed off we don't get it here any more!) Until next time, stay splendid!
