September 23 to October 24, 2010

This past summer, Tod Papageorge, the Walker Evans Professor of Photography and Director of Graduate Studies in Photography at the Yale School of Art, was invited to Rome to work for a month on the Rome Commission. (Josef Koudelka and Martin Parr, among others, were commissioned during its nine-year history). The end result is a solo exhibition of about 30 prints, made with a digital Leica M9, to open on 23rd of September in the City of Rome Museum of Modern Art. A small, beautifully produced accordion-style book, OPERA CITTA, was published by Marco Delogu of Punctum Press in Rome to accompany the exhibition.
