After her career as a collegiate volleyball player came to an end Wernert turned to figure competitions. In 2008, she placed fifth in the Figure Class E at NPC Jr. Nationals. This year Sarah will first be appearing in her hometown's show the NPC Pittsburgh on May 2nd.
